Components Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Components Mechanic to join our client’s MRO team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and overhaul of various aircraft components. This role requires precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, disassemble, repair, and reassemble aircraft components, including hydraulics, pneumatics, landing gear, and flight control surfaces.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and determine the most efficient and effective repair methods.
- Utilize technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to perform accurate repairs and overhauls.
- Conduct tests and inspections on repaired components to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, procedures followed, and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve complex mechanical issues and ensure compliance with FAA regulations.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Must-Have Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Components Mechanic, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft components, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in using precision tools and equipment for component repair and testing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
